DAMASCUS, (ST)_ The second phase of the campaign announced by Syrian expatriates, participants in the Syrian Phoenix campaign to support the Syrian pound and the national economy was launched yesterday, through public intervention sessions dedicated to support Syrian national products and to contribute to providing better and cheaper prices for consumers in order to enhance Syrian people steadfastness against the terrorist war.
In a statement to SANA, campaign co-founder Dr Nasrein Zreik stressed points of sale POS were opened yesterday in Latakia and Damascus, to be followed by other provinces and regions, after ensuring the arrival of goods to specific places, where the citizen can buy at half of prices, set in the local market, pointing out that the POS will be provided with food commodities and basic goods over the full year to be sold at a flat rate in all regions.
Dr. Zreik noted that during the second phase of the campaign, bazaars will be organized to buy national products in world cities, where there are Syrians expatriate, as shareholders and supporters to the Syrian phoenix campaign, explaining that “the campaign supports every peasant, small workshop or Syrian industrialist fighting for living inside the country.”
Worthy mentioning, the public intervention to support the Syrian pound began by Syrian expatriates before the zero hour of launching the Syrian phoenix campaign which began on May 15th, in support of the national currency.
The campaign will continue for a year and stages of public intervention in support of the Syrian pound will be advertised through the Syrian national media.
