Syrian people to celebrate victory soon, asserts al-Halqi

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Prime Minister has said the Syrian people will soon celebrate victory over what he called ‘greater conspiracy’ thanks to the unity among people and army and their perseverancein implementing the three-stage political plan as a sole outlet for the crisis.

Dr. Wael al-Halqi, who chairs the ministerial committee entrusted with the implementation of the political plan to resolve the crisis, was speaking as the committee met with the  Secretary and members of the Democratic Arab Union Party’s Politburo.

The today-gathering revolved around political , economic situation and the common visions upon which the committee, the political and social parties have agreed in previous meetings to pave the ground for launching the comprehensive national dialogue conference.

Means of reactivating the role of the national front’s parties were also discussed.

Following the meeting, the Party’s Secretary, Ghassan Ahmad Othman, told reporters that national dialogue must be based on the national sovereignty, the Syrian territories’ unity, rejection of foreign interference, violence, and the  necessity of combating terrorism.  

On January the 9th,2013, the cabinet endorsed the political plan outlined by President Bashar al-Assad in his speech delivered on January the 6th.

The ministerial committee included Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Ministers of Information, Justice, National Reconciliation, Transport, Industry, Red Crescent Affairs, and the People’s Assembly Affairs.
