DAMASCUS, (ST) – ” the Martyrs’ Day is a landmark for the coming generations to come in Syria “asserted the cabinet in a session chaired by Prime Minister, Dr. Wael al-Halqi on Teusday.
The Cabinet saluted the martyrs for their sacrifices to keep the homeland proud and dignified and saluted the armed forces and the internal security forces for their sacrificing .
During the session,al-Halqi briefed attendees on the economic and political situation, lauding the achievements realized by the Syrian Army as regards pursuing the armed terrorist groups.
” the Syrian people’s victory against the conspiracy is inevitable, and those who are wagering on the collapse of the state and society of Syria are deluded as Syria is strong with its people and army and it will emerge out of the crisis soon thanks to the unity of the people and the army and the support of friends,” al-Halqi underscored.
For his part, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Adib Mayaleh, briefed the cabinet on procedures taken by the CBS to preserve the stability of the exchange rate of the Syrian pound.
“the Central Bank and the Monetary and Credit Council are able to face all economic confrontations,”Mayaleh stressed.
He made it clear that there is a package of monetary and financial procedures to boost the stability of the Syrian pound.
