Syrian pavilion in CIIE exhibits food and medical products, various handicrafts

Syria is taking part in the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) to introduce its various quality products to the world.

The Syrian pavilion in this expo extends over an area of 54 square meters and it exhibits food and medical products as well as various distinguished handicrafts, according to the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said that the Syrian pavilion consists of three sections dedicated for the Syrian companies that aim at exhibiting their quality production including canned food, sweets, coffee, skin and body care products, olive oil and soap, in addition to wooden, metal and silk handicrafts.

A special space in the pavilion was allocated for shedding light on the Syrian investment law No.18 of 2021 and on some investment opportunities available in Syria, the ministry added, pointing out that the Syrian companies have maintained their participation in all the expo’s five sessions.

The 5th CIIE was opened on Friday virtually in the presence of the Chinese President and a number of ministers and officials from the participating countries as well as representatives of some international organizations.

The event, which will last until November 10th, is accompanied by the Hongqiao International Economic Forum and other important economic activities.
