Syrian pavilion at the 31st Minsk International Book Fair  witnesses widespread official and popular interest

The Syrian pavilion participating in the activities of the 31st  Minsk International Fair, which concludes its  activities today, witnessed wide official and popular interest.

A number of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Minsk, along with a large number of Belarusian citizens visited the fair which received great coverage by the Belarusian media.

The Syrian pavilion, represented by the Syrian Embassy in Minsk, displayed  a collection of literary books selected by the Ministry of Culture, along with a number of publications, brochures, and cultural and tourism CDs in Arabic and Russian, in addition to pictures, industries, and traditional clothing that express Syria’s history and civilization.

During their visits to the Syrian pavilion located in the “International District” at the fair , Belarusian Information Minister Vladimir Pertsov, Deputy Director of the Presidential Administration Maxim Rezhenkov, and Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Nazaruk expressed their admiration for Syrian history and civilization. They thanked the embassy for its permanent participation in the fair.

The Belarusian ministers also stressed during their meetings with the Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Omrani, the deep-rooted Syrian-Belarusian relations.

It is noteworthy that the 1st Minsk International Book Fair kicked off in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, on the 14th of this month under the slogans “A World of Books Without Borders” and “Partnership for the Future”.
