Syrian opposition figure says Turkey maneuvers to keep its tool inside Aleppo

Syrian opposition figure  has asserted that Turkey maneuvers to evacuate and protect 900 fighters affiliated to al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra] and to keep the so-called ‘moderate opposition’ inside Aleppo city to run it.

Mr. Fateh Jamos from opposition Front for Change and Liberation told the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper that there are two main reasons behind the Turkish escalation.

“The first one is related to Turkey’s greed in Syria, while  the second one is that Turkey sees that Aleppo issue will likely be resolved within  the framework of victories of the joint military operations being carried out by the Syrian Arab army and its allies,” he clarified.

Mr. Jamos added that it is important to back the Syrian Arab army’s role as Turks are the most dangerous party in the crisis in Syria since the first moment. “Turks are cheaters and the United States will certainly abandon its Kurdish allies because Turkey is more important to it.”

He affirmed that events in Syria would not have happened without Turkey’s role, calling for holding a serious internal dialogue between authority and opposition and civil community to form a wide popular front to confront the ‘dangerous Turkish occupation’ and to support the Syrian Arab army.
