Syrian-Omani talks in the fields of transport and communications

Muscat (ST): The Omani Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology Saeed bin Hamoud Al-Maawali discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Idris Maya, prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of transport and communications.
During his meeting today with Ambassador Maya, Al-Maawali affirmed his country’s readiness to sign a cooperation agreement between the two brotherly countries in communications and information technology and the exchange of experiences in this field.
For his part, Maya explained the difficulties that the telecommunications, technology and transportation sector suffers from in Syria as a result of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on it, referring to the importance of strengthening cooperation relations between the two countries in these two sectors.
