Syrian national football team defeats its Pakistani counterpart 2-0 in first round of Asian Cup qualifiers

The Syrian men’s national football team defeated its Pakistani counterpart 2-0 in the first round of the Asian Cup qualifiers. The match was held yesterday at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia.
The Syrian team’s goals were scored by Ahmed Faqa in the 22nd minute and Omar Al-Somah in the 56th minute.
With this victory, the Syrian team topped Group E with 3 points, ahead of Myanmar on goal difference.
The Syrian team’s next match will be with Afghanistan on June 10.
