Syrian Moslems and Christians are Living as One Family: Patriarch Yazigi

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Patriarch of Antioch and All East for Greek Orthodox Youhanna X Yazigi has stressed that the Syrians, both Moslems and Christians, are one family and they will stay steadfast in their homeland, pointing out that “terrorism will never be able to uproot them from this land”.

He made the remarks on Friday during his visit to a number of churches and mosques in Arbin and Harasta areas in Damascus where he saw the damage caused to religious places in these areas.

Religious and archeological places in eastern Ghouta were exposed to looting and destruction when they were under terrorists’ control.

Patriarch Yazigi praised the heroism of the Syrian Arab army who cleaned eastern Ghouta from terrorism, affirming that the Syrians are steadfast and they firmly support their army and leadership.
