Syrian media wins 6 gold awards at Al Ghadeer International Media Festival

Baghdad (ST): The Syrian media won six gold awards at the conclusion of the 13th Al-Ghadeer International Media Festival in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

During the closing ceremony today, the festival administration announced its golden awards for this session, where the General Authority for Radio and Television in Syria won the festival’s special award in appreciation of its participation in its activities, and Al-Suriya TV won the award for the best animation for “The Consequence of Lying” and Soriana Radio won the award for the best variety radio program for the program “Under Achievement” and the Acting Department of the Authority won the award for the best radio drama for the series “The Ray of Islam,” while the Qaband Foundation won the award for the best television drama for the Brokar series. The festival administration also awarded a special award to director Basil Al-Khatib.

Deputy Minister of Information Ahmed Dawa referred in a speech during the awards ceremony to the role of the Syrian media in confronting and exposing the misinformation and falsification campaigns that the hostile media tried to market to obscure the facts in Syria.
