Syrian media delegation holds interactive dialogue with representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
MOSCOW, Oct.11, (ST)- The Minister of Information, Boutros Al-Hallaq, has stressed during the visit of the Syrian media delegation to the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moscow that it is very useful and that such a visit constitutes an gateway to another dimension in the media approach, and in the goal that was assumed and was achieved in being informed about the work of the Russian state-run and private media.
He talked about the key role of professionalism in media work, and the need to continue this communication and cooperation between Syrian and Russian media professionals.
He noted that the experience of the Russian media since the days of the Soviet Union deserves studying.
“Nowadays, the Russian media is in a state of confrontation as was the Syrian media in previous years, and that the idea of exchanging experiences and interacting with others may be a complete idea during this week,” the minister added.
For his part, Syria’s ambassador in Moscow, Riyad Haddad, said that that this visit aims to raise the professional and technical level between the Syrian and Russian sides in the media field, especially in confronting Western media, which target the two sides.
He asserted the need for cooperation between the two countries through exerting media, economic, political, military efforts.
The ambassador indicated that Syria and Russia are facing the same enemy and the same tools in media or economic fields besides the illegal sanctions and the imposition of an unjust economic blockade on both countries.
Yusuf Luay, Chairman of the Russian-Syrian Business Council, said that the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the main supporter of the Russian-Syrian Business Council in all the projects it carry out in Syria.
He referred to the council’s recent initiative launched under the title “All Love to Russia” that targeted all Syrian governorates, where 500 tons of food were distributed to families affected by the war, stressing the cooperation with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in all activities, including participation in the Damascus International Fair.
