Cairo (ST): At the invitation of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, Maestro Misak Baghboudrian, conductor of the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra, led the Arab Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, which includes young musicians from several Arab countries, through two musical evenings, the first at the Alexandria Opera House, and the second on the stage of the Republic Theater in Cairo.
The program of the two evenings included the presentation of the successive orchestra “Old Dances and Songs for the Lyot” No. 3 by the Italian composer Risbegi, and excerpts from a love poem by the great musician Solhi Al-Wadi, and the serenade for the string orchestra by the Russian composer Tchaikovsky.
In a statement to news reporters in Cairo Maestro Baghboudrian, said the Arab Youth Philharmonic Orchestra meets every year and includes young musicians, pointing out that the 2022 edition included about 50 string instrument players from several Arab countries, including Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt.
Maestro Baghboudarian pointed out that a variety of musical pieces were chosen, so that young people could learn about several musical styles.
