Syrian-made machines and products are present in the exhibition (Sinex)

The Syrian Industrial Exhibition “Sinex” for machinery, industrial equipment, packaging and plastics is currently being held on the Fairgrounds of Damascus.

The General Company for Metallurgical Industries “Barada” displayed its main products of refrigerators, washing machines, gas ovens, fans and others.

Barada’s General Director Engineer Ali Abbas said that the exhibition is an opportunity to promote the company’s products from the ready-made molds factory that can meet the needs of the local market in its public and private sectors and plastic injection machine products that will enter service soon.

The General Director of the General Company for Cable Industry in Damascus Engineer Abdul Qader Al-Kaddour considered that the specialized exhibitions are very important in the rebuilding phase and to exchange experiences and communicate with local and foreign companies.

The private sector had a distinguished presence in the exhibition, where Eng. Ghiath Abdel Salam, director of a company manufacturing machines serving the requirements of pharmaceutical and food production, stated that the machines manufactured in Syria are known in the neighboring markets with an excellent reputation.

Engineer Mahran Al-Nafori, director of a company for natural resources, stated that the company has been producing nitrogen for years to revitalize dormant oil wells, which was previously imported from neighboring countries.

He said that his plant also began producing medical and industrial oxygen and bottling it last year.

Hani Nashed, director of a company specialized in the manufacture of wheels, said that his company produces wheels for construction hoists and generators that compete with their imported counterparts in terms of quality and cost.

The industrialist, Tayseer Draklet, who is the director of an engineering company for the manufacture of food appetizer production lines and packaging machines, said that the specialized exhibition contributes to hold direct meetings between industrialists and traders and a window to see the latest products in each specialty.

He noted that the economic blockade imposed on Syria affected the export of the local product and the participation of Syrian industrialists in foreign exhibitions.
