Syrian-Lebanese relations should be reactivated: Lebanese party

BEIRUT, (ST)- Deputy Head of the Free Patriotic Movement in Lebanon Tarek al-Khatib has stressed the need to reactivate the Syrian-Lebanese relations in order to serve the interests of the two countries.

During his meeting on Friday with Syria’s Ambassador in Beirut Ali Abdul Karim at the Syrian Embassy’s Headquarters, al-Khatib reiterated that coordination and contacts between the two countries should be enhanced, expressing hope that Syria will emerge from the current crisis soon.

On his part, Ambassador Abdul Karim affirmed the strategic relations between Syria and Lebanon, reiterating the need to continue fighting terrorism, a matter that necessitates more coordination and cooperation between the Syrian and Lebanese armies.
