The Syrian Karate team on Saturday won seven new medals; two gold, two silver and three bronze in the West Asia Karate Championship currently held in the UAE.
The new achievement comes a day after the Syrian team won four medals; two gold, a silver and a bronze, on the first day of the championship.
The gold medals went to the two athletes Mais Qara Falah in the U-55 kg and U-21 years category and Khuloud Ali in the over-68 kg and U-18 years category.
The two silver medals were obtained by Wisam Abu Mahmoud in the U-75 kg and U-21 years category and Olfat Brambu in the women individual Kata in the over 18 years category.
Two bronze medals went to athletes Qais Ghrawi in the U-21 yeas and U-67 kg category and Majd Salkan in the over 84 kg and the U-21 years category.
The Syrian athlete residing in the United Arab Emirates Abu Wakim Wade’ won a bronze medal in the U-55 kg and the over 18 years category.
