Syrian junior football team qualifies for the semi-finals of West Asia

Amman (ST): Syria’s junior football team qualified for the semi-finals of the West Asian Championship held in Jordan, by defeating its Kuwaiti counterpart at the conclusion of the first round.

The goals of our team were scored by Ahmed Al-Saqan, Kawa Issa, Amr Al-Saleh, Hashem Hamani and Laith Al-Bunni in the 20th, 22nd, 38th, 45th and 79th minutes.

Our team topped the first group with 9 points from three victories, as it defeated the Lebanon team with one goal to none after it opened the tournament by defeating the Palestinian team with two goals to one before concluding this role by defeating the Kuwait team.

Our team will meet in the next round with Jordan next Tuesday.
