Syrian Journalists Union Vows Commitment in Defending Homeland

DAMSCUS, (ST)_ Syria’s Journalists’ Union (JU) has stressed the need to consolidate media discourse and abide by professionalism and credibility, in order to save the blood of media, army and the armed forces martyrs, stressing that journalists will remain the “rightful pens in defense of Syria”.

In a statement yesterday, marking the Syrian press day, which falls August 15 the JU noted that the risks Syria has been experiencing for more than four years of obscurantist Wahhabi and Zionist aggression, is but in retaliation for the Syrian people, who identified their options and announced their position in siding with resistance and addressing the plot, whatever sacrifices are.

The JU commended the steadfastness of the Syrian people under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad against the terrorist war experienced by Syria and in thwarting the so-called new Middle East project.

It greeted the Syrian army and all defenders of Syria of Arab brothers and friends and journalists in Syria and the world who have been siding with justice and truth and challenging darkness and blasphemy, stressing that journalists will remain the rightful pens in defense of Syria and its holy sites.
