Syrian, Jordanian ministers discuss cooperation in trade, transport, electricity and agriculture

Amman, (ST) – The Syrian-Jordanian ministerial meetings that started yesterday were  resumed in the Jordanian capital Amman today to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, transport, electricity, agriculture and water resources.

SANA reporter in Amman stated that, the final meeting will be held this afternoon at the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and will discuss the results of the bilateral meetings.

 The Jordanian Minister of Industry and Trade, Maha Ali, made it clear in televised statements that, the meetings of the Syrian ministerial delegation with their counterparts in Jordan discussed the files of trade exchange and the movement of trucks.

Minister, Ali indicated that, the discussions also dealt with the issue of opening the joint Jordanian-Syrian free zone between the two countries, in addition to the files of electricity, water and agriculture.

“We look forward to reaching understandings to frame cooperation in the interest of the two peoples and countries,” the Jordanian minister said.
