Damascus, (ST) – Minister of Transport Eng. Ali Hammoud and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, JavadTurkabadi, discussed here on Wednesday ways and mechanisms of joint cooperation in the transport sector, which will positively reflect on the benefit of the two friendly countries.
Mr. Hammoud referred to Iran’s firm positions alongside the Syrian people in its war against terrorism, noting that Syria is keen to deepen the ties of economic cooperation with the Republic of Iran, especially in the reconstruction phase.
The Iranian Ambassador pointed to the steadfastness of the Syrian people in confronting the aggression they exposed to, stressing his country’s stand on Syria’s side in the fight against terrorism as well as enhancing cooperation in the field of transportation including road planning, railway construction, development of locomotives and infrastructure, and airport processing.
