Syrian-Iranian talks in Tehran to promote the cultural product

Tehran (ST):  The Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mshaweh, and the Iranian Minister of Culture, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Ismaili, discussed during their meeting in Tehran the possible aspects of cooperation between the two sides to promote the cultural product in a way that contributes to fortifying identity, building thought and enhancing belonging.
During the meeting, the two sides also stressed the importance of exchanging technical expertise in the fields of music, cinema and plastic art, and presented the tasks and plans of their ministries.
Dr. Mshaweh stressed the need to expedite the signing of an executive program with the Iranian Ministry of Culture and a memorandum of understanding between the National Museum in Damascus and the National Museum in Tehran, and another between the Al-Assad National Library and the National Archives in Iran as evidence of the continuous cooperation between the two sides based on sound foundations, study, know-how and common interests between the two friendly peoples.
During a press conference held at the building of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Tehran, the Iranian Minister of Culture affirmed his country’s readiness to cooperate in all fields: cinema, art, books, theatrical, plastic and media arts, stressing the depth of the two countries’ historical relations, which were invested in the establishment of an Iranian cultural week in Damascus, revealing the closeness of his visit to Syria to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two sides.
For her part, Minister Mshaweh affirmed the strong Syrian-Iranian friendship relations based on deep-rooted historical and civilizational ties,  expressing thanks for Iranian people and leadership for their stand in support for Syria in its battle to preserve national sovereignty, freedom of decision, and territorial integrity.
