PARIS- Hesameddin Ashena, the Cultural Advisor of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has affirmed that the Syrian-Iranian ties are strategic and they can’t be classified just as normal.
The Iranian news Agency (IRNA) on Saturday quoted Ashena as saying during his meeting with Syria’s Education Minister Hazwan al-Waz on the sidelines of the UNESCO meeting in Paris, that “Syria and Iran are two brotherly countries which enjoy deeply-rooted historical, cultural and religious bilateral ties.”
He reiterated that Iran never forgot Syria’s honoring stance in support for Iran against the unjust western siege, “therefore, Iran is currently backing the Syrian people in the face of the ongoing critical circumstances.”
During their meeting the two officials discussed the education process under the ongoing crisis in Syria.
