Syrian-Iranian Oil Cooperation Discussed

Concluding his visit to Iran, Prime Minster Wael al-Halqi on Thursday held talks with the Iranian Oil Minister Rustum Qasimi on how to enhance cooperation and coordination in the areas of oil and gas so as to back the economies of Syria and Iran in the face of the economic war and unfair sanctions facing both countries.

The two officials discussed ways of exchanging oil derivatives and developing the oil industry to serve the interest of the two countries and meet their development requirements.  

The oil talks came after the Syrian government’s delegation visiting Tehran had signed a package of agreements and contracts covering several fields.
