After being declared winner, Sharif sang for his homeland Syria and dedicated his victory to his family and all the Syrians who suffered a lot from the ongoing war and are in need for some sort of happiness.
He thanked all who supported him in Syria and the Arab world.
“I thank every Syrian and Arab citizen who supported me and voted for me during the program. I thank all the Syrian people,” Sharif said.
Over the past three months 26 young contestants competed to win “Arab Idol” title, but Sharif, with his fantastic strong voice and performance, managed to snatch the title and gain the love and support of his fans.
This is the first time a Syrian singer wins the title, but in the past three seasons, Syrian participants were able to reach the program’s finals.
