Syrian government takes several procedures for the return of displaced

Damascus – The Syrian-Russian Joint committee for displaced Syrians discussed on Thursday measures taken to facilitate return of the displaced Syrians abroad.

Minister of Local Administration and Environment Hussein Makhlouf, who heads the committee affirmed that the Syrian government has adopted all the procedures to ensure the return of the displaced Syrians who are willing to return their home, SANA reported.

He indicated that the rehabilitation processes of infrastructure and public facilities in the areas liberated from terrorism are moving ahead.

 

For his part, a member of a committee, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad said that the diplomatic missions provide all facilitations needed for the displaced people who are willing to return their home and cooperate with the international organizations, especially the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)  in this regard despite the misleading media and the policy of economic and political sanctions practiced by a number of West countries against Syria.

Russian Foreign Ministry representative Nikolai Burtsev said via video conferencing that the results achieved by the committee  regarding the return of the displaced people are increasingly  satisfying to foreign countries and international organizations.
