Syrian Government Ready to Swap Prisoners for Citizens Kidnapped by Terrorist Groups

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The government of the Syrian Arab Republic stresses its continuous readiness to swap prisoners for kidnapped Syrian citizens and hostages held by the terrorist groups including men, women, children, civilians and soldiers, an official Syrian source announced on Monday.

The announcement was made following coordination with concerned ministries and partiers and after the government has succeeded in liberating many civilians and soldiers who were held by the terrorist groups, the source said.

According to the source, the announcement came to stress the government’s keenness on the lives of abducted Syrian citizens wherever they are on the Syrian lands and to support the efforts exerted to hold next round of Astana talks.

A few day earlier, the keen efforts by the Syrian state’s concerned bodies resulted in the liberation of dozens of Lattkia countryside’s women and children after three and a half years of abduction by the terrorist organizations.
