Syrian government-proposed agenda adopted during the first meeting of the mini body of the Constitutional Committee
GENEVA, (ST)- Close sources to the United Nations have affirmed that the agenda of the meeting of the 45-member mini body of the constitutional committee on Syria, which was proposed by the Syrian government delegation, has been adopted.
The agenda provides for discussing the ideas and suggestions submitted during the meeting of the committee’s expanded body to specify what is valid so as to be adopted as constitutional principles.
The sources said that the other side didn’t submit any suggestions on the agenda and this contradicts the code on conduct and the preliminary procedures of the two co-chairmen.
According to the sources, today, there will only be one session of the mini body in order to allow the committee’s members to return to the speeches made during the expanded committee’s meetings.
