Al-Zahrawi Hospital for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Surgery today received new medical equipment and devices, donated by the Syrian-German Medical Association “SIGMA” as a first step, as part of a plan to support the healthcare sector and enhance the quality of medical services.
The hospital director Nidal Muftah said in a statement to SANA that the provided equipment includes ventilators to support the healthcare sector in Syria and alleviate the burden on medical staff while serving patients who need ventilation or surgical procedures.
For his part, internal medicine physician Muath Ma’arawi confirmed the association’s continued support for hospitals with medical devices and necessary supplies in the coming period, which contributes to improving the healthcare services provided to citizens.
He noted that supporting the healthcare sector is a priority of the campaign launched by the association in Syria at the beginning of this month (Our Pulse is One), which primarily focuses on supplying hospitals with dialysis machines and artificial ventilation equipment.
It is worth mentioning that the Syrian-German Medical Association was established after the liberation of Syria, and its main goal is to support the healthcare system and contribute to improving medical care and education, in addition to strengthening and supporting the Syrian medical community in Germany.
