Syrian General Organization of Books issues a collection of short stories for children by French author Guillaume Olive

Within the national translation project, the Syrian General Organization of Books has recently  issued a collection of short stories for children by French author Guillaume Olive entitled “ Selections  of short stories from China.”

The famous French author of children’s books  Guillaume Olive  lived a part of his life in China and was inspired by many stories.

The119-page  book, which was translated into  Arabic by Katebah Wajeeh Katebah ,  included  ten short stories directed to children, whose contents are  from the Chinese heritage through legendary heroes and characters inspired by the basic elements in the imagination of Chinese literature.

Through these short stories we discover the story of the Great Wall of China, Chinese writing, and the birth of The Yellow River, the Dragon’s Status and Role, the Power of Bamboo and Jade.
