Syrian short documentary film depicting ISIS recruitment of children has won ‘Peace Key’ award in an international conference held in South Korea, according to the state-run al-Thawra newspaper.
The paper reported today that the film entitled ‘the Escapee’ talks about the story of a 15-year-old boy conveyed by ISIS terrorists to one of their training camps on Turkish borders after he saw the murder of his parents at the hands of those terrorists.
“The boy escaped later from the camp with the help of his uncle”, the paper added, indicating that the film shows ISIS violation of children rights.
The film’s Director Nour Melhim told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the ward is a sort of appreciation for all Syrians, who tried to clarify terrorism acts in their country.
“The film was screened before Arab and foreign journalists, who expressed their solidarity with the Syrians,” she said, indicating that she has a lot of ideas about peace to be translated into action in cooperation with Korean team.
