Syrian equestrians achieve distinguished results in the Bahia International show jumping championship
With the participation of a number of Syrian equestrians, the competitions of the 3rd Al-Bahia International Show Jumping Championship- one star category, that were organized by Al-Bahia Equestrian Club in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi, were concluded on Sunday.
The championship competitions, which were held over 3 days, witnessed the brilliance of the Syrian equestrians and their winning of titles. The equestrian Osama Zabibi won the fourth place for the Grand Prix, whose hurdles reached a height of 135 cm. He also won the third place for the mini Grand Prix whose hurdles reached a height of 105 cm.
The Syrian equestrian Firas Hamama won first place in the category of young 5-year-old jumping horses, on the 120 cm hurdles, and the category of 6-year-old horses, on the 125 cm hurdles
The Syrian jockey Osama Zabibi, had won third place on the second day of the tournament in the qualifying round for a height of 130 cm, and second place for the one round, accumulating with “joker” class points for a height of 105 cm.
As for the first day’s competitions, Syria was in the lead par excellence, as the jockey Osama Zabibi won the first place in the 125 cm height race, and the jockey Sabri Badinji also won first place in the 115-120 cm race for small horses, and the jockey Imad Gharib won third place in the 105 cm race.
