Syrian-Emirati talks to enhance cooperation in the field of oil and mineral resources

Moscow (ST): The UAE Minister of Energy and Oil, Suhail Al Mazrouei, expressed his high estimation of the relations between the UAE and Syria, stressing confidence that they will develop and be strengthened in light of the openness we are witnessing in Arab-Arab relations. 

 

During a session of talks with the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Engineer Bassam Tohmeh, on the sidelines of the International Forum of the Russian Energy Week in Moscow today, Al Mazrouei said that the UAE has great respect for Syria and its people who contributed to the dissemination of science and knowledge, and is ready to cooperate with it and welcomes the visits of Syrian officials to benefit from the Emirati experience.

Al Mazrouei invited the Syrian side to participate in the Renewable Energy Conference that will be held in the UAE during the first month of next year, in which major international companies will participate, pointing to the opportunity for Syrian companies to benefit from that.

In turn, the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tohmeh, stressed the importance of integration, cooperation and joint actions between the Arab countries in all fields, referring to the good relations that were historically and still are between Syria and the United Arab Emirates.

Minister Tohmeh expressed the desire of the Syrian side to benefit from the experience of the United Arab Emirates in developing the energy sector in its various branches, stressing that Syria has always adhered to joint Arab action and was a pioneer in this field.
