Syrian Embassy in Moscow Celebrates 75th Anniversary of Establishing Syrian-Russian Diplomatic Relations

MOSCOW– The Syrian Embassy in Moscow held a celebration marking the 75th anniversary for establishing diplomatic relations between Syria and Russia.

Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad said in a speech that the history of bilateral relations is rich with celebratory events of sovereignty and dignity, referring to the bilateral cooperation in confronting terrorism as an example, according to SANA.

 He hailed Russia’s efforts in counterterrorism in Syria.

For his part, Head of Russian-Syrian Friendship Association, Alexander Dzasokhov said that establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries is a historical event.
