Syrian drama loses one of its stars and icons

Syrian actress Antoinette Najib died this morning at the age of 92 after her health condition deteriorated.

The Syrian Artists’ Syndicate and the Directorate of Theaters and Music on Wednesday mourned the late veteran actress, expressing condolences to her family.

Najib, who was born on February 20, 1930, started her artistic career in 1968 after joining the Artists’ Syndicate.

During her career, she took part in over 150 works in theater, cinema and television.

Najib continued acting until the age of 90 and she was known of her distinguished performance.
