During the holy month of Ramadan, people in Syria and the Arab homeland used to watch important Syrian drama works.
Though drama production has been affected by the ongoing crisis in the country in terms of quantity and by the unjust siege imposed on all aspects of life including drama-making, it continued to be competitive enough to achieve wide success because of its great ability to touch upon several issues of concern to all categories of people.
In this year’s Ramadan, the Syrian TV channels present more than 20 Syrian series of 2015 drama production.

Most of the works focus mainly on the situation in Syria and on the different sides of the humanitarian crisis caused to the Syrians by the terrorist war on the country. “Woman of Ashe”, “Waiting for Jasmine” “Intensive Care”, “Spot Light” are among the most important works tackling the crisis.
Other works like “Haraer” (Free Women) has special importance as it presents a bright image of Syrian women and their remarkable role in society. It deals with women’s historical struggle to get their rights which were violated during the times of occupation and colonialism.
Focus is also made on the Damascene life under the French colonialism and on their struggle to win liberation, like in “Bab al-Hara” TV series.
Social problems in addition to issues like corruption, espionage, extremism and murder were also highlighted in some works like “Haret al-Mashraqa” al-(Mashraqa District).
Comedy also emerged in some works like “Spot Light” and “Dunia 2015” which presents social and humanitarian issues in an ironic way.
The main Syrian TV Channel, as well as Talaqi and Syria Drama channels will be top choices for Syrian drama fans to enjoy watching latest Syrian drama production.
