Syrian Companies to Take Part in MEFI

DAMASCUS, (ST) – The Development and Promotion of Exports Institution (DPEI) recently began to prepare for the “Moscow Exhibition for Food Industry” (MEFI), which will be held in the Russian capital, Moscow, from 15 to 18 next September. Seven Syrian companies will take part in the event in cooperation with the Federation of Syrian Exporters.

The participation in Moscow Exhibition is considered an opportunity to acquaint with the largest and most important importers of food commodities in those areas.

The participation in this exhibition comes after Syria’s participation in the Dubai Food Industries Exhibition “Gulfood” which resulted in the opening of new markets for Syrian products. Questionnaires distributed by the DPEI on the participating companies showed that Syrian products compete with the price and quality other world products.

On the other hand, a Syrian food industries exhibition will be held in Iraq in the framework of support for the food industries in Syria.
