Syrian Community, students in Russia voice support for Russia’s operation to protect Donbass population

The Syrian Community and students in Russia on Saturday organized a solidarity stand at the Syrian Embassy in Moscow to voice their support for the Russian Federation, people, and army in defending the population of Donbass.

Syria’s Ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad affirmed Syria’s support for the friendly people of Russia in their battle that aims at providing assistance to the people in Donbass province and to eradicate Nazism and intolerance from Ukraine, thereby protecting the Russian national security from the danger of NATO expansion.

Haddad said that the West has launched a hysterical media and political campaign against Russia and the Russian army and it continues to send mercenaries and extremists from all parts of the world to fight alongside Ukraine against Russia.

“Today, we can see how the west sends terrorists from the northern part of Syria, mainly from Idlib, which is under the control of the Turkish regime and Al-Qaeda terror organization, to fight in Ukraine,” said Haddad, pointing out that “this confirms the rightness of Syria’s vision which stresses that what is going on is a western war against the world not a Russian war against a neighboring state.”

The methods adopted by the West against Syria and against several other countries are being used today against Russia, Haddad, added.

“This means that our battle and the battle of our Russian friends are the same and they target the West and its terrorist tools which seek dominating people’s resources, he clarified.

Haddad affirmed that Syria’s support for the Russian military operation to protect the people in Donbass serves the interest of the entire world and it stems from its keenness on  enhancing its struggle for attaining a balanced world where all peoples and countries can enjoy development and prosperity.

On their part, the Syrian expatriates and students in Russia confirmed their support for the Syrian state’s stance in solidarity with Russia against Nazim in Ukraine and in support for protecting the people of Donbass.
