Syrian community in Germany, solidarity associations rally in protest against “Caesar Act”

FRANKFURT, (ST)- Some Syrian and German solidarity associations as well as members of the Syrian community in Germany and a number of German supporters organized on Saturday a rally to protest against the so-called “Caesar Act” through  which the United States imposes tougher coercive economic measures on Syria.

Dozens of participants, who gathered in the main square of the German city of Frankfurt, raised the Syrian flag, carried pictures of President Bashar al-Assad and chanted slogans condemning the US sanctions and expressing solidarity with the Syrian people in confrontation of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by western colonialist states.

The participants called for lifting the brutal sanctions, describing them as a crime against humanity that aims at weakening the will of the Syrian people, army and leadership.
