Syrian community in Bulgaria proud of Golan people heroism

SOFIA,(ST)_Syrian community in Bulgaria has expressed its pride in heroism of Golan people who are stick to their national identity, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a statement released by the community on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of open strike staged by the Golan people as saying: “The steadfastness of our people in the occupied Golan and their rejection of Israeli identity despite suppressive practices against them foiled the Knesset’s 1981 decision.”

The statement indicated that the Zionist entity, which is armed with the US Veto and not pressing it to implement the U.N. resolutions, has continued its suppressive practices and its attempt to Judaize Golan.

The Syrian community reiterated its support for the Syrian Arab army and the brave leadership in fighting the Israeli-backed terrorist organizations.

On February 1982, Syrian people in the occupied Golan staged a six-month strike in protest against the Israeli Knesset decision issued on January, 14, 1981 that provides for annexing Golan and imposing Israeli laws on it.
