Syrian community and students in Cuba: Evacuation Day announced the birth of a new future in Syria
Members of the Syrian Arab community, students, and members of the Syrian Embassy in Cuba renewed their pledge to continue carrying the message of evacuation with all honesty for the sake of the nation’s pride and dignity.
Students, members of the community, and members of the embassy said in a statement: the 17th of April was a date for raising the Syrian flag high and announcing the birth of a new day and a new future. The blood of the martyrs for independence led to the defeat of the French occupier, stressing that Evacuation Day is the pride if the past and the dignity of the present.
The statement explained that the battle for independence and the battle of our people today in the face of the war on Syria and global terrorism is one battle, and that the previous battle was fought by the heroic sons of Syria to achieve independence and defend Syria’s sovereignty.
Today, our heroic people and army are waging this battle against a military and economic terrorist war targeting all segments of the Syrian people to undermine Syria, its sovereignty, and its independent decision.
