Syrian Communities in Hungaria, Slovakia: Correction Movement a Qualitative Historical Turning Point

BUDAPEST-BRATISLAVA, (ST)-Representatives of the Syrian Arab community in Hungaria, in addition to members of the Forum for Syria in Budapest, have described the Movement of Correction (CM), led by late leader Hafez Al-Assad, as “a historical and qualitative” turning point in Syria serving the achievement of the Arab national project.

In a statement issued on Sunday marking the 44th anniversary of the Correction Movement, the Syrian expatriates said the events Syria has been experiencing over the past years, stress the need for continuous commitment to the CM’s options, meanings and course under the leadership President Bashar Al-Assad as to attain development in all domains.

The statement pointed out that fighting extremism at all levels should be a top priority in addition to combating corruption and facing challenges.

The statement asserted that the heinous foreign-backed terrorist aggression against Syria aimed to weaken the Syrian state, undermine its resources and destroy the infrastructure the country has build over the past decades. It also targeted Syria’s national stances and resistance against the Zionist-American scheme and its agents in the region.

The Syrian expatriates condemned the terrorist crimes targeting Syria and the state terrorism being practiced by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people, stressing that such crimes will strengthen their determination to spare no effort to protect Syria and be hand in hand with the Syrian Arab Army in the confrontation of the global war.

In the same context, the Syrian students in Slovakia asserted that the CM has laid the foundation of a strong and modern Syria, because of the political, economic, social and scientific development attained over tens of years.

They renewed their support for the Syrian Arab Army in its battle against the armed terrorist groups and their supporters. They also expressed confidence that Syria will emerge victorious from the ongoing war and that security and stability will be restored to the country thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrians and their wise leadership.
