Syrian Colors” Bazaar displays handmade products for Christmas and New Year

Syrian Colors” Bazaar is currently being held at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus displaying artistic and handicraft works.

The bazaar includes traditional embroideries, soap, accessories, food products, clothes,  home decorations, perfumes,  sweets , and Christmas decorations.

Rana Al-Tabbaa, the organizer of the Bazaar, told Syria Times “200 women and a number of Damascene craftsmen and civil associations participated in this bazaar”.

“This bazaar is devoted for Christmas decorations. It is full of handmade Christmas decorations which are made by creative women” Al-Tabbaa said .

“Participating women in this  bazaar, which is held every month, are creative with the handicraft , so every time we see more beautiful  and new handicraft  works.”

The bazaar is an opportunity  for women to develop their handmade products and market them” she added.

Rima’s  aim of participation is to advertise and promote her products, which she has been working on for three years.

Fatima Qabbani, another participant, shows recycling decorations made by simple things such as cardboard and colors .

Fatima is  participating in this event for the first time and she wants to show her handmade works to the people directly.

In her turn, Lara Al-Bahah, displaying handmade accessories said  “I am participating  in the bazaar for the fifth time, and my project started six months ago. I make bracelets and  rings from crystal and other stones  . My aim from this participation is to  familiarize people with  my products”.

Sham  al- Dahaan displays  new things, which are accessories and special for pets especially dogs and cats such as toothpaste, toys and homemade food.

Sham is participating for the fifth time, Sham sees that participating in such an event will help her to continue and develop  her work as she presents her products to people directly.

Also  engineer Nour Alrashi, exhibits  honey ,and its products, including cosmetics , shampoo, creams and soap.

She has been participating in the bazaar for six months now in order to introduce people to her products and encourage them to use natural honey products .
