Syrian Colors Bazaar – an opportunity to display gifts for Mother’s Day and Teacher’s Day

On the occasions of Ramadan, Mother’s Day and Teacher’s Day, the Syrian Colors Bazaar opened on Sunday at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.

The bazaar which will last three day includes many products and items that can be presented as gifts to mothers and teachers.The bazaar will continue for three days.

The bazaar showcases handicrafts and craft products made by Syrian women, including handicrafts, cloths, food, sweets, wooden gifts, heritage items, candles, chocolate, bags, woolen products, accessories, traditional embroideries, and handmade soap.

Mrs. Rana Tabaa , the organizer of the bazaar told Syriatimes: that “this bazaar, we present products  devoted  to the holy month Ramadan, Mother’s Day, and Teacher’s Day.”

“This bazaar is distinguished by showing creative works and new products” Rana said.

“There is now development in making the products. We are proud of the works of the women of our country”. She added

“There are about 150 participants, and what is new is the family’s participation in making the handicrafts, sons participate with their mothers in making crafts” Rana said.

Participant Lina Al-Bej displays oriental hand made products including gifts for the holy month Ramadan, prayer rugs, prayer kits, gift boxes, Qurans, robes, and Quran stands.

“I have participated in this event several times. All my products are handmade .I like participating in this bazaar because I display my products directly to the people” She said.

Dalia Qasuma from Domestic Company is participating in the bazaar for the second time. She displays handmade products made of copper, sea shell, wood, Plexiy(ceramic), and chrome.  Her works are distinguished by Arabic calligraphy.

“I loved participating in this bazaar because it is an opportunity to market my products” Dalia said.

For her part Nafisa showcases handmade food without preservatives, such as molokhiya( Syrian food ), okra, spices, olive oil, Syrian berry, jams and others.

“This is my seventh time participating in this bazaar. I participate in this bazaar to market my products” Nafisa said.

Reem Hammad displays gifts which are made of copper and beads. Reem has been participating in the bazaar for three years. She came from Tartous city to display her products, which attract tourists who like to buy them as gifts when they travel.
