Syrian clans and tribes in Hasakah condemn crimes of US and Turkish occupation forces against civilians
HASAKAH, Oct.6, (ST)- The council of elders and dignitaries of the Syrian clans and tribes in Hasakah governorate has renewed its rejection of the American and Turkish occupations, the fabricated crises and the repeated attacks by them on the safe areas in the governorate, warning against the dangerous repercussions if these heinous crimes continue.
The council referred in a statement released on Thursday to the increase in fabricated crises and repeated attacks by the American and Turkish occupations on villages in the countryside of Ras al-Ain and Tal Tamr that aim of displace the residents in a systematic manner.
The statement also indicated that the American occupation forces carry out airdrops on a number of villages where dozens of residents have bee killed and kidnapped.
“The crime of cutting off the supply of water by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to the city of Hasakah and its countryside is still continuing and it has repercussions at health, environmental and economic levels,” the statement read.
It in addition talked about the closure of private institutes and schools in the city of Qamishli by the so-called Education Authority of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia [SDF] in the region, stressing that this step aims to blind a generation by refusing to teach the official curriculum and imposing curriculum that is not recognized locally and internationally.
The elders of tribal and clan said in their statement: “We reject and condemn the continuation of these crimes in our region, and we hold the Turkish and American occupations responsible, and we demand the United Nations and its organizations to play its role in condemning these crimes and work to stop these irresponsible behavior and attacks in the region.”
They warned against the dangerous repercussions if these heinous crimes continue against the region’s residents.
