Syrian clans and tribes in Aleppo affirm support for locals’ uprising in Manbej against aggressive practices of US-backed SDF militia
The dignitaries of the Syrian tribes and clans in Aleppo on Sunday organized a gathering in Al-Taiha area in Aleppo countryside to stress their support for the uprising launched by residents in the Syrian city of Manbej against the criminal acts of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia and against the US and Turkish occupation, SANA reporter said.
On June 1st, four citizens were martyred and several others were injured when the SDF militia targeted the locals in the city of Manbej and the surrounding villages with live ammunition.
Manbej city and the surrounding villages have been witnessing daily demonstrations condemning the SDF crimes against citizens.
Concluding their gathering the dignitaries of the Syrian tribes and clans issued a statement in which they said “we greet the peaceful uprising of the locals in Manbej against the agents, separatists and occupier. We affirm our support for this uprising and vow to work hand in hand to keep the city of Manbej an Arab Syrian territory.”
“If the SDF militia and its affiliated groups don’t leave Manbej, we, members of the clans in Aleppo will surely enter Manbej and back its locals,” the dignitaries added, stressing that there is no room for leniency with killers.
The Syrian clans and tribes concluded their statement by stressing that “the Syrian Kurds in Manbej are an integral part of the Syrian society and what hurts them hurts us.”
