Syrian Civil Defense Participates in the Sixth Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction in Kuwait

The Syrian Civil Defense Foundation participates in the sixth Arab regional forum for Disaster Risk Reduction in the state of Kuwait, under the slogan “Building Resilient Arab Communities… From Understanding to Action”.

According to a publication of the Foundation through its official telegram channel, this event, organized by the United Nations Office in partnership with the League of Arab States, brings together leaders, experts and stakeholders to promote disaster risk reduction and build resilience in the Arab region.
During his engagement, the Foundation’s chief program manager Dr. Ahmed Qaziz spoke about Syria’s civil defense experience and disaster reduction efforts and explained the mechanism now being built in Syria to predict risks and minimize their impact on communities.
The forum, which runs until the 12th of this month, started today in Kuwait , and highlights, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the continuation and follow-up of what the Arab countries have achieved, and the assessment of progress achieved by following up the implementation of the Sendai Global Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Arab Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction 2030, with regional priorities for the next two years and the adoption of the (Kuwait Declaration) and action plan for 2025-2027.
