DAMASCUS, ( ST)-Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Suleiman Al-Abbas recently discussed with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus Wang Kijyan areas of cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
Eng. Abbas called on Chinese companies to invest in Syria after preparing plans by the ministryfor infrastructure, pointing to the commitment of the Chinese companies to their contracts despite the difficult circumstances experienced by the country and the unfair sanctions imposed by the Europeans.

 

For his part, The Chinese Ambassador confirmed the potential to create many and varied cooperation opportunities and enhance cooperation between the two countries, pointing to the ongoing work being conducted by the embassy to encourage the investment of Chinese companies in the Syrian market, particularly in the oil and gas sector through reviewing investment opportunities to the benefit of the common interest between the two friendly  countries.
