Syrian writer Areej Bawadeqji has managed to achieve notable progress in children literature as an editor in chief of “Shama” magazine and through writing interesting stories for children.
Bawadeqji’s stories have been published in Syria and abroad. Most recent of which is a collection of educational stories in French and English.
In a statement to SANA, Bawadeqji said that the Syrians abroad yearn for stories of good literary level from the Syrian culture. “Based on this idea, a British publishing house contacted me and after reviewing a set of my works, we agreed to present a collection of educational, purposeful and psychologically supportive stories for early and middle childhood,” she added.
These Arabic stories will be translated into English and French, according to Bawadeqji.
The Syrian Book organization recently issued a story for the writer Bawadeqji called (Robot Na’san). The story, which targets children until 8 years old, was presented in an attractive and comic way that carries a value. The story takes children on a journey in the world of technology and information and goes through the interesting world of animals which is full of secrets.
The writer has several collections of stories for children and youths. These stories were published in Syria and Arab countries with the aim of enriching the knowledge and morals of generations.
