Syrian-Canadian Delegation Discusses Establishing Educational and Academic Projects with Minister of Higher Education

A Syrian-Canadian delegation discussed with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, the possibility of establishing educational and academic projects in the fields of tourism, aviation, and marine sciences, as well as integrating artificial intelligence into higher education curricula.

 

During the meeting held today at the Ministry’s headquarters , the delegation, headed by Engineer Molham Al-Droubi, discussed with Minister Al-Halabi several projects, including a diploma program in reconstruction, the establishment of an Academy of Tourism Sciences, an Academy for Aviation Education, Engineering and Ground Services, the creation of a Faculty of Marine Sciences.

The two sides also discussed projects aimed at integrating artificial intelligence into higher education curricula and developing virtual education through the establishment of new virtual universities and colleges.

 

For his part, Minister Al-Halabi highlighted the importance of the projects presented by the visiting delegation and emphasized the need for joint cooperation in the coming phase, with a focus on investing in higher education. He also affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary facilities, especially in the specialized fields proposed by the delegation.

 

It is worth noting that the delegation includes academics, engineers, experts, businessmen, and Syrian investors residing in Canada.
