Syrian-Brazilian Cooperation Talks in The Field of Agriculture

The Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Eng. Muhammad Hassan Qatana, discussed with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Brazil in Damascus Fabio Vaz Pitaluga ways to activate the agricultural agreements signed between the two countries and develop cooperation in the fields of agricultural research, veterinary medicines, livestock and fodder insurance.

Minister Qatana reviewed the needs of the agricultural sector in Syria, pointing out the need for the Syrian community in Brazil to take its role in increasing cooperation between the two countries and transferring successful initiatives and projects, especially in the agricultural field, stressing the readiness to provide everything necessary in this field.

 

Qatna indicated the need for joint platforms via the Internet between technicians and researchers in the two countries to exchange experiences, cultures and scientific programs and to review and develop agreements.

In turn, the Brazilian ambassador expressed his country’s desire to develop  relations with Syria, reviewing the reality of the agricultural sector in Brazil and its most prominent products.
