The Syrian bodybuilding team is participating in the World Masters Championship, which kicked off two days ago in South Africa with wide international participation.
The Syrian team delegation participating in the championship includes Bilal Bahsas as head, Omar Al-Masry as coach, and players Sami Al-Barni, Mohammad Ghazi, Amer Khorshid, and Ali Qaband.
Head of the Bodybuilding Federation Bilal Bahsas said in a statement to SANA: The morale of our players is high and their ambition is to win medals in this continental event to raise the Syrian flag high on the podiums, and add a new achievement to the Syrian sports.
Bahsas noted that the championship includes two categories: Masters 1 and Masters 2, where players Ali Qaband and Mohammad Ghazi will compete in the championship on Saturday, while players Sami Barni and Amer Khorshid will compete next Sunday.
